What kind of fertilizer is good for orchids? Three kinds of fertilizers, only so effective

1. Organic fertilizer

Usually when I say organic fertilizer (special orchid) I refer to cake fertilizers. After all, although other organic fertilizers in rural areas have good fertility, they are obviously not suitable for growing orchids. At least the smell is unbearable. The application of cake fertilizer on orchids has a very obvious effect on the growth of orchid seedlings. The leaves are dark green and thick, straight and elegant. It also has a very good effect on promoting the budding and flowering of orchids.

However, the cake fertilizer is not harmless, and it must be used for a long time. Although there is a method of soaking in water to water flowers, the effect is not as good as mixing the plant material after retting. If there is no retting of the cake fertilizer in the flowerpot, there will be a phenomenon of re-fermentation and rotten roots. And unripe cake fertilizer is easy to cause orchid disease (miscellaneous bacteria are more likely to breed).

2. Fertilizers

Generally, the chemical fertilizers in the agricultural materials store can be applied when orchids are planted (except chlorine-containing ones), and fertilizers with different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium contents can be used according to the different stages of orchid growth. The ternary fertilizer I use the most is generally 17% nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, of which potassium exists in the form of potassium sulfate.

The effect of chemical fertilizers in orchid pots is very fast. Generally, fertility can be clearly felt within 7 days, the leaves begin to turn green, and the growth rate of new seedlings is significantly accelerated. The disadvantage of chemical fertilizers is that it is easy to cause premature senescence of orchids, especially some older orchid seedlings. And be very careful when using it, otherwise there is a risk of obesity.

3. Biological Bacterial Fertilizer

This is a fertilizer that Lanyou has used more in recent years. It does not contain nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which are essential elements for plant growth. The main function of biological bacterial fertilizer is to mobilize the active ingredients in the soil to activate them and make them more easily absorbed and utilized by plants. The biological bacterial fertilizer is simple and convenient to use, and can be mixed into the plant material when planting orchids, without the disadvantages of fertilizer damage.

This kind of fertilizer is not effective, and there must be a premise that the plant material itself has its own fertility, so that it can be actively mobilized. If pure inorganic plant material is used, the use of biological bacterial fertilizer is basically ineffective.

Based on the above mentioned several orchid fertilizers, who is the best fertilizer for orchids? I think it is best to combine the three fully organically.

When preparing orchid plant materials, you can consider adding some materials with their own fertility (what I advocate is humus soil), and add some biological bacterial fertilizer when planting. In the spring and autumn of each year, some mature organic fertilizers can be applied, and the effect of this fertilizer is lasting. In the peak season of orchid growth (mainly spring and early summer), chemical fertilizers can be applied to promote orchid seedlings and buds.
